This page lists every PAPERHEAD weapon confirmed by official sources and demo coverage as of launch day, October 9, 2026. The full weapon roster is not yet verified, so this list covers only what sources confirm.
Shotgun
The shotgun is the workhorse gun. GameGrin's demo preview describes it as feeling "incredibly strong, yet its limited ammo forced me to remain resourceful and pushed me towards more unique and creative solutions." You find the shotgun during the demo rather than starting with it, and the official store copy backs the fantasy: "blast them to smithereens with a shotgun!"
Treat it as a close-range specialist, not a default weapon. Fire only where every pellet lands, never at distant targets, and when it runs dry, switch to the rest of your kit instead of chasing ammo mid-fight. Ammo economy is the entire game with this weapon.
Drawn bombs
The publisher press release confirms the magic pencil draws bombs into existence. The official store page gives the intended combat loop: "Sketch bombs to kick them at your enemies!" The bomb is only half the weapon. GameGrin confirms the dash-kick launches drawn bombs, so drawing and kicking were designed as a pair.
Use drawn bombs against groups of enemies and against obstacles that bullets cannot remove. Draw near the target, kick the bomb into the middle of the group, and keep your distance. Standing next to your own bomb while drawing it is the most common way to waste the effort.
Explosive barrels
These are environmental, not carried. The official combat description says to "kick explosive barrels into them (or enemies themselves!)" and GameRant's breakdown confirms barrels as kickable weapons. Treat every barrel as free ammunition: kick it toward enemies instead of shooting it. Spending a scarce shotgun shell to detonate a barrel you could have kicked for free is always the wrong trade.
Mighty boots, dash-kick, and slide
This is one system, not three. The press release describes kicking and stomping enemies. GameGrin confirms the dash-kick is your starting weapon: a dash and a kick in one input that launches enemies and objects alike, including drawn bombs, explosive barrels, and miscellaneous loose objects.
The official store copy adds two more verbs. "Toss enemies into the air" pairs with "Slide to throw enemies in the air": sliding through a group pops enemies airborne, where they cannot hit back and are easier to finish. And "jump on their heads like an Italian plumber!" confirms the stomp, with GameRant noting stomping from above as a legitimate tactic. When the shotgun runs dry, this is the kit that keeps you lethal.
Magic pencil
The signature tool, and a weapon in its own right. Per the publisher press release and the official store description, it draws bombs into existence and draws doors you can enter, with the store page adding "Draw doors to kick down!" GameGrin's demo coverage reports it can also erase certain elements, which feeds the light puzzle-solving between fights. The store page lists one more use, writing on walls, but redacts what the words do: "Write [redacted] words on walls." What the writing does in gameplay is UNVERIFIED.
See our dedicated magic pencil mechanics guide for the full breakdown of each pencil use, its limits, and how it interacts with combat.
How the arsenal fits together
PAPERHEAD does not want you to pick one weapon and stick with it. GameGrin's demo takeaway was that limited shotgun ammo "pushed me towards more unique and creative solutions," and the official combat description reads like a combo list: toss enemies into the air, kick barrels into them, stomp them, blast them. The intended rhythm is improvisation.
A typical fight, using only confirmed tools, looks like this. Slide through the group to throw enemies airborne. Kick a barrel into the cluster while they are up. Draw a bomb and dash-kick it at whatever is left standing. Finish the survivors with the shotgun at close range, and stomp anything that gets too close. No single weapon does all of that. The shotgun is the finisher, the pencil creates the opening, and the boots deliver everything.
Ammo discipline ties it together. Shotgun shells are scarce, so every shell should either kill or save you. Barrels and drawn bombs are free, so they do the crowd work. If you find yourself shooting barrels or spraying distant targets, you are spending the wrong currency.
The complete weapon list is UNVERIFIED. Any site claiming a full PAPERHEAD arsenal on launch day is guessing. This page will grow as sources confirm more weapons.
What we do not know yet
GameBrief's demo coverage mentions "additional firearms" beyond the shotgun, but gives no names, no details, and no confirmation they appear in the full game. That is UNVERIFIED, and we will not invent weapon names to fill the gap.
No official source has published a complete weapon list, damage numbers, or upgrade paths. We will not fill this page with speculation. Check back after launch-day facts settle.
